The state of the world we live in is nothing but pure chaos.
You may be asking, “Pastor, where is the message of hope in this nightmare of unspeakable suffering?” Rest assured; we serve the God of ALL hope! Jesus told us in Luke 21:28 that “when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 says, “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
For those of you who remember December 7, 1941… where were you on that day when you heard those electrifying words? “Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt this broadcast to bring you this urgent bulletin from Washington…” The White House announced a Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. President Roosevelt said, “No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated attack, America will win the absolute victory!”
Our lives changed overnight!
Young men flooded the enlistment facilities, swearing in to join all branches of the Military, standing in lines four deep on the sidewalk. Thanks to God, and a Military that believed in absolute victory, our nation fought for America’s very survival, crushing Hitler and the axis powers.
Where were you on November 22, 1963, when Air Force One touched down at Dallas Love Field and President John F. Kennedy disembarked to ride through the city in an open-air limousine? The motorcade crawled at 11 MPH past the Texas School Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald was lying in wait. The bulletin came in at 1:40 p.m. EST, as Walter Cronkite’s broken voice announced President Kennedy’s death, taking off his glasses and openly weeping on live television.
Where were you on 9/11 when the Twin Towers came crashing down? We stayed helplessly glued to our TVs, watching brave first responders dash into the fiery inferno, doing their level best to save human lives… and many giving their own. We saw Americans leaping from flaming towers to their deaths. We watched New Yorkers running for their lives through the streets, trying to outrun thick billows of consuming smoke. Radical Islamic terrorists had attacked us with hijacked commercial airliners. Three thousand Americans died in one day.
All of this to say…in the immediate future, some of you are going to hear words that will determine the destiny of your immortal soul. “We interrupt this broadcast to announce that the Church of Jesus Christ has been raptured from the earth.”
Reports will pour into the news centers from every major city in America and across the world. Grave stones will be toppled over. Funeral homes from every region will report that those who were dead have resurrected and suddenly disappeared. Cars will be parked beside freeways, their engines left running, their passengers mysteriously missing. Airplanes will fall from the sky as pilots who are Believers are called home.
The news centers report that churches around the world are flooded with people who are sobbing uncontrollably. They know. They have missed the rapture.
Those who remain will be faced with the coming antiChrist who will force them to receive his mark in their right hand or forehead. The Bible says this will cause them to lose their eternal soul. Refusing to take the mark of the beast will be rewarded with decapitation.
The stock market will crash. Global fortunes lost. The millions who are missing were the workforce of the nation. The dollar is now crashing. World leaders are calling for an economic czar to take control of all governments, currencies and religions.
The broadcast on this day will say, “The world as we know it has come to an end.”
Some of you reading this letter are going to hear that very broadcast. You will be running to the Church, packed with those who were “playing” church…those who talked about religion without experiencing a relationship. Everyone else will be gone in the twinkling of an eye.
You might ask me, “What difference does it make if I believe in the rapture or not?” It’s very simple. If you’re not looking for Him…you’re not going with Him.
Luke 21:36 says, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
If you’re not watching for His coming, you’re not going up in the rapture!
This sermon series, Prophecy for Tomorrow, paints the picture of what is in store for believers and those who reject Christ. If you have family members or friends that have yet to accept Christ, this is the witnessing tool to bring them to saving knowledge of Jesus.
Why now? In the last days there will be scoffers. 2 Peter 3:4 says, “…where is the promise of His coming?” The fact that they don’t believe He’s coming back is living proof that He’s almost here! If you listen closely, you can hear the steps of the Messiah in the clouds of glory.
I Thessalonians 4:16-17 tells us, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
Jesus Christ, the Prince of Glory, will appear suddenly in the heavens. The trump of God shall sound, announcing the appearance of royalty. The voice of the Archangel shall summons the righteous dead from their graves. All over the earth, grave sites will explode as occupants soar into the heavens. This sign (the rapture) is the fail proof signal to all Believers that the real Jesus is about to make an appearance and take his Bride home.
I will know it’s the real Jesus when my glorified body sails through the air, past the Milky Way, and I am standing in the presence of Almighty God. When I’m standing before Him in my disease-free body, my fatigue-free body looking better than any movie star on the planet, I will know that I am in front of the King. I will no longer need my glasses and my knees won’t grind every time I take a step. I will have just been a part of the rapture of the Church Triumphant! Oh, what a day that will be!
So, I have just one question for you today. Are you ready for the rapture? Are your loved ones ready?
