Righteous Revolution

John Hagee

Revolution is defined in Webster’s dictionary as “a sudden and dramatic change.” How can we bring about a sudden and dramatic change in America? First, we need to talk about the great need for change.

Our current Administration is saying that we are no longer a Christian nation. I beg to differ. We still stand on the Word of God…which is the truth, and it changes not. It is the foundation of these United States, no matter what men might say.

When Planned Parenthood is being funded by our tax dollars…we need a sudden and dramatic change. We are a nation that has lost its soul. When public schools are mandating that boys who wake up feeling like a girl can use the girl’s bathroom, we have reached moral madness in our society. We need a sudden and dramatic change.

When a United States Air Force Academy has a pagan worship service attended by practicing witches, whose worshippers are future officers…we have a leadership crisis. We need a sudden and dramatic change.

When our churches have abandoned preaching from the pages of God’s Word in exchange for feel-good messages that explain away our sin instead of teaching about confessing our sin…we need a sudden and dramatic change.

Are you beginning to get the picture? If you watch the news at all, you know that madness is ruling the streets of America today. But what can we as believers do?

Become a great leader. Each and every one of you is a leader. You have influence over someone. You were not created to be a carpet for someone’s liberal, political agenda. You were placed on planet earth to glorify your Father. You are here to be salt and light. You are here to point people towards the saving grace of Jesus Christ, to be soldiers of the Most High God. We aren’t here to just go along and get along. We are here to stand up for the truth found in God’s Word.

Psalm 23:1-3 tell us, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

King David put pen to parchment to present God Almighty as the leader of all leaders. “He leadeth me.” He leads me beside still waters. He leads me in paths of righteousness. God’s will will never take you where His grace cannot keep you.

He leads me through the storms of life. When the winds are raging and the waves are pounding your soul…when the heavens are blacker than a thousand midnights…what joy it is to hear His voice coming across the surging tide, saying, “Do not be afraid. It is I. We’re going to reach the other side together.”

God has given each and every one of you a holy calling. He has chosen you to reign as kings and priests unto God. The royal blood of heaven is flowing in your veins right now. You might not have access to worldly leaders, but you have direct access to God Almighty…who can move heaven and earth on your behalf.

What is the answer for America? We must raise up a legion of leaders who will choose truth over political correctness, who will choose right over wrong, who will choose duty over convenience, who will choose integrity over deception.

Having your name at the top of an organizational chart might give you power, but it doesn’t make you a leader. The position doesn’t make the person; the person makes the position. A leader isn’t someone who’s trying to be all things to all people. You can’t believe the Word of God and be all things to all people. We are in a global position right now where we as believers are given the option to offend God and please the world, or please the world and offend God. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

A leader is not an egotist with “I” trouble. I think, I will, I am, I did… That doesn’t work in a church, a marriage or a nation. Look where it got Satan. And let’s be clear. There are no super stars in the Kingdom of God. We are all servants! And Jesus Christ is Lord of all!

A leader is someone who takes action to correct a problem, someone who takes responsibility for an issue and moves forward in a positive direction. Dissect that word and you get responsible. But you can’t solve a problem until you admit that you have one.

According to the Bible, the first person you lead is you. You are responsible for who you have become. The kind of leader you are will determine the kind of people who follow you. If you make foolish decisions, only foolish people will follow you. If you make godly decisions, those who follow you will be godly. If you are making godly decisions, those who follow you will also prosper.

The reason America is in a ditch is because we have not followed godly discipline or godly principles. As a leader, your reaction to someone in trouble determines God’s reaction to you the next time you get in trouble. Don’t ever pass up a child of God who is in trouble. If you have the ability to help them, do so.

One more important item…don’t discuss your problems with someone who can’t solve your problem. It’s a waste of time and only creates frustration. Talk to someone who can solve your problem and I assure you that someone is the leader of all leaders…Jesus Christ.

In order for us to have a righteous revolution, we must raise up leaders. We must start by leading ourselves first, then our families, then our friends and our circles of influence. Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord. We are far from this today, but His mercies are renewed every morning.

We can unite as one Christian body to take the Holy Ghost fire of a righteous revolution to every corner of these United States. I hope you will join me in sharing the salt and light, and true love of Jesus Christ on every country road and every city mile that you travel.

It is time for a righteous revolution!
