So, what are you worried about? The Word tells us to be anxious for NOTHING! Yes, the world is full of stress and anxiety, chaos and budgets, bills and insanity. But GOD tells us to be anxious for what? Nothing!
Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
You are so important that God Almighty sent His only Son to die for YOU! If no one else existed on planet earth, Jesus would have still died to redeem you from your sins.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Are you worried that something awful might take place in your life? Something unexpected? The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:45 that it rains on the just and the unjust. So, if you aren’t smack dab in the middle of a problem right now, it’s likely one is just around the corner. But guess what? God already has the solution waiting. So, again, what are you worried about?
Matthew 6:26 says, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
The Bible tells us that Satan comes to rob, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10), but that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37). So, why are you allowing Satan to steal your joy? The enemy can only take from you what you allow. So today, by the authority of Jesus’ name, gain the victory! Stop listening to everyone around you and look up! Your redemption draweth nigh.
Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Stop looking in every nook and cranny for the answers and look UP! Immerse yourself in the pages of the Holy Spirit- inspired Word of God. These pages are life to weary bones and will give you springs of Living Water in the desert of your days. Our God is able to reach you right where you are and meet your every need.
Now let me ask you. Have you given the thing that concerns you most to God? Have you laid it at the foot of the Cross? Or have you carried it around as a badge of honor for so long that it has engrained itself into your life and become a part of your personality? God wants something better for you than a sourpuss outlook on life. You have much to smile about! Cast your cares on Him and start counting your blessings!
1 Peter 5:7, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
If you don’t give God the opportunity to help you, He can’t. If you sit at the dinner table and don’t consume the food that is prepared, your physical body will not be nourished and you will become weak and eventually die if you stop eating all together. So it is with your spiritual man. You must feed it! You must drink from the riches of God’s Word. You must apply the promises found in the Bible to your daily life. If you become detached from the vine (God), then like a plant...you will eventually shrivel up and your spiritual life will die.
Don’t seek out a religion, but seek out a relationship with God. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Author and the Finisher of our faith. And He has your very best interest in mind. Are you willing to stop worrying about whatever has taken you to this place of deep depression in your life and let it go? This is a great promise straight from the Word of God:
John 8:36, " Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Are you ready to leave the past behind and walk into a brilliant future? God wants that for you! He wants you to have more than enough to meet your every need. But you have to allow Him to work in you and through you.
Philippians 1:6, “...being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
You will never see the day when God gives up on you. Today, as the enemy starts to tell you what you don’t deserve, remind Him that you are royalty, bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ that has washed you whiter than the driven snow. Your future is brighter than the noonday sun, and one day you will be singing with the saints as we gather around the throne and worship the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Today is going to be the first day of the rest of your life. Don’t waste another minute living in depression, in anger or bitterness. Life is simply too short! Looking through life’s rearview mirror will never gain you access to the spectacular view that is just ahead.
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This is going to be a great day! Start believing that! Start saying that! Start speaking the Word of God out loud in your home and watch as the Holy Spirit begins to take root in your life, completely renewing and refreshing you from head to toe by the mighty hand of God. All you need to do is ask God to invade your life and set you free. It is just that easy, and it can happen just that fast!
Start seeing yourself as God sees you... as a priceless treasure!
