The Handwriting is on the Wall

John Hagee

Have you heard the phrase; “the handwriting is on the wall?” The phrase comes from the Biblical story of Daniel, in which the prophet interprets some mysterious writings that the hand of God inscribed on the palace wall. In the early 18th century it became a phrase used to describe something that is inevitable… something that was destined to happen.

THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL JESUS IS COMING SOON!

In October we launched our Vision 2020 campaign. This initiative is to prepare our ministry for the future, to help us strengthen our foundation to reach future generations with the Gospel.

We first introduced Vision 2020 to our local church family. We invited them to make a one-time gift or a 1-year pledge. They were invited to bring their gifts and pledges to the altar, and as a family inscribe a verse or prayer, and sign their names on a piece of sheetrock that will be used in our upcoming expansion and renovations.

We know that many of you are not able to attend Cornerstone personally, but we still consider you a vital part of our family. We want you to share in this historical event. When you make a contribution or pledge to Vision 2020, we want you to be able to sign your name and include a special verse or prayer on our wall. See Vision and Prayer Request form on page 20 of this magazine. Fill it out and return in the center envelope. Take a few moments and ask the Lord how He would have you and your family participate in Vision 2020.

THE HANDWRITING IS ON THE WALL…

Hagee Ministries’ best days are ahead.

What an exciting time to be alive! As we look around, we are watching God reveal Himself in new and extravagant ways. We have a president who is under attack for so many things, including befriending Israel. We are watching well-known musicians, famous celebrities and influential athletes publicly declare their commitment to Jesus Christ. They are praying at awards shows and getting baptized in the Jordan River! These are interesting days we live in.

Luke 19:40 tells us that if we do not proclaim His name… “the stones will cry out.” As we head into this brand-new year, let’s praise the Lord for His goodness! Let’s each day boldly proclaim the blessings of the Lord in our lives.

The Bible teaches us that “praise precedes the victory!” Do you need victory in your life today? Are you struggling financially? Begin to praise Him for what you already have. Are you needing victory over an addiction or bad habit? Begin to praise Him for giving you the strength to overcome anything the enemy may use to destroy you. Do you need victory in your marriage or a relationship? Give our God praise every day and you will begin to see your battles being won! When you are praising the Lord, you will not have time to look back on past mistakes or challenges. He is getting ready to use you in a mighty way to glorify the Kingdom, to bless you in ways you never imagined.

“Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.” Psalm 150:1-2,6

Praise Him for the great things He has done in your life, and for the great things that are on the way!

If 2019 was a challenging year for you, I want to encourage you that God will use every experience of your past to prepare you for your future. He is setting you up, positioning you in the exact spot to fulfill your divine destiny. When you are walking with the Lord, it’s not always easy…but be confident in the fact that He is always working on your behalf, piecing everything together for your good and for His glory.

Begin to write down your thoughts, dreams, and prayers in a journal. You will soon see how God answers your prayers and moves on your behalf.

Have you ever had that light bulb moment? You finally saw the entire puzzle come together and you just stood there in amazement of what God had done just to bless you, to heal you, to show you His amazing favor. Today you might be wondering why you are walking down a certain pathway, but if you are walking in God’s favor…know that He will never leave you or forsake you. Great things are on your horizon!

We are praying for revival in 2020. We are praying that God will send revival to our country. Revival isn’t always comfortable. Don’t ever think that God doesn’t see what is going on in your life. He is there on your mountain tops and in your valleys. In the valleys, He is refining you, preparing you for something great. Use these moments to praise Him, to seek after Him, to cry out to Him. Our God is more than able to perfect the things that concern you. He will turn your tragedies into triumphs.

Let me encourage you to praise Him throughout the New Year. There is power in your praise.

At Hagee Ministries, we are so blessed to watch God’s mighty hand sweep through our country. We are blessed when you call to share your prayer requests. And we are blessed to share the uncompromised Word of God. Thank you, God, for using all of us as a mighty collective voice to praise You, to worship You, to let the nations of the world know that OUR GOD REIGNS!

Habakkuk 2:2-3 says, “Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come. It will not tarry.”

Do not grow weary in praying for the things that God lays on your heart. Our prayers are not often answered as quickly as we would like. God’s timing is not our timing, but His rewards are far greater. Remain consistent with your prayer and see how God begins to move on your behalf. God is a miracle-working, all-knowing, all-seeing God who is right on time. He brings us things that will bless us as we are walking beside Him and asking in faith believing.

The handwriting is on the wall… 2020 is going to be a great year of victory in your life.

I feel that God will show Himself to you in a very real way and tangible way like never before. We are praying for miracles in your life and for revival across our nation. We are humbled and grateful for the opportunities that God gives us to honor Him, to serve Him and to share the Good News around the world. Thank you for partnering with us in ministry. Thank you for keeping Hagee Ministries in your prayers. We look forward to what God has in store for you in 2020. Please let us know how we can pray for you as we know that God’s very best is yet to come!
