The Pathway to Victory

Guest

As spring approaches, we often think about spring cleaning. Out with the old and in with the new. But, have you considered what you need to “spring clean” in your personal life?

In Revelation 21:5, Jesus tells us, “Behold, I make all things new.” What do you need to “make new” in your life? In what areas do you need to press the reset button?

The last few years have brought unprecedented challenges for all of us. We have carried burdens past their expiration date. We have carried burdens we were never intended to carry. We have new wrinkles and grey hair from the amount of worry we have expended over the past few years. It’s time to stop worrying! It’s time to take your challenges, the things that keep you up at night, and lay them at the feet of Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-29 says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Does your soul need rest? Is your tank running on empty? It’s time for a spring cleaning. Stop worrying about the things that you cannot control. Let yesterday go. Don’t allow yesterday to dictate today, because today’s actions decide tomorrow’s success.

STOP BEING DRIVEN BY YOUR PAST MISTAKES, AND START BEING LED BY YOUR DREAMS. YOUR DOUBTS ARE TRAITORS TO YOUR DREAMS. YOUR FEARS STRANGLE YOUR HOPES AND KEEP YOU FROM CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN OF IMPOSSIBILITY.

And every Bible-believing Christian knows that with God ALL things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Our steps are ordered of the Lord, and yet sometimes we take missteps and land in places we shouldn’t be.

It’s easy to have faith that God will do something amazing for someone else, but it’s time to realize that God wants to do something amazing for YOU. He is a miracle-working God who has your very best in mind. It’s time to stop trying to manage everything on your own and turn your problems over to Him. He knows your end from the beginning; He is waiting for you to ask Him to intervene (Matthew 7:7).

God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Remember the time He healed you? The time He mended that relationship you thought was beyond repair? Remember when He touched your marriage? Remember how He provided for you in the midnight hour when everything around you looked hopeless? That same God is standing by, and He is ready, willing and able to take you through another year drenched in His goodness and favor.

Is God telling you to “spring clean” your unhealthy habits? To “spring clean” toxic people out of your life? Maybe you are spending time with people that are taking you further away from your divine purpose. If what you are doing (or who you are spending your time with) is unpleasing to the Lord, today is the day for a fresh start. Lay whatever it might be at His feet and ask for healing, healing from the inside out. He is the God that restores our time and redeems us (Joel 2:25). It is never too late to ask God for a new beginning.

In every situation, there is our part and there is God’s part. When we start out to cleanse our spirit, our life of those things that are displeasing to Him, He will guide us down paths of righteousness for His names’ sake. No matter how far you have wandered, God is always right there beside you…waiting to help you get right back on track.

Remember the words of King David in Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” The depth of God’s love for you is immeasurable. He sent His only Son to die for you so that you might have eternal life. Do not waste this precious gift by becoming bogged down with spiritual baggage you were never intended to carry. The foot of the Cross is an open invitation for “whosoever will.”

Stop worrying that 2022 could usher in the same brand of chaos we have seen in recent years. Our faith is not in tomorrow, but in the One who holds tomorrow, in the One who sticks closer than a brother no matter what we are facing. His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).

GOD’S GRACE IS AN OCEAN WITHOUT A SHORELINE, WHOSE DEPTHS HAVE NEVER BEEN PLUMBED…WHOSE HEALING POWER AND LIFE-CHANGING WATERS HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARTED BECAUSE THERE IS NO BOUNDARY TO GOD’S AMAZING GRACE. IF YOU FEEL LIKE THE ODDS ARE STACKED AGAINST YOU, REMEMBER GOD’S AMAZING GRACE.

There is no word that can heal or inspire like grace. Grace moves mountains of guilt and shame. It makes the desert of your life explode into fountains of living water. It gives you beauty for ashes. Grace is the unlimited, unmerited favor of God.

What could 2022 hold if you decided to lay your problems at the Cross and live in God’s grace? Spring clean the things (and people) out of your life that are not pleasing to the Lord and you will see abundance, blessings and favor raining down on every corner of your life as you walk in the shadow of the Almighty!
