TO PROCLAIM IS TO MAKE KNOWN PUBLICLY YOUR OPINIONS, AND TO EXTOL OR PRAISE AN ACTION OR INDIVIDUAL.
TO MAKE A PROCLAMATION IS TO ANNOUNCE OR DECLARE, IN AN OFFICIAL OR FORMAL MANNER, AS IN PROCLAIMING WAR!
It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises [with musical accompaniment] to Your name, O Most High, to show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night. Psalm 92:1-2
But I trusted in, relied on and was confident in You, O Lord; I said, “You are my God” Psalm 31:14
Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me! Take hold of shield and buckler and stand up for my help! Draw out also the spear and javelin and close up the way of those who pursue and prosecute me. Say to me, I am your deliverance! Psalm 35:1-3
The King of kings and Lord of lords has redeemed us—we are His! Our heavenly Father gave us His written Word as an inheritance, a diary, a guidebook to what He has done, what He has promised, and what He will do!
Christ Jesus who died... more than that, who was raised to life again... is at the right hand of God, the Father and is interceding for us. All we must do is to believe, obey and proclaim what the Spirit of the Living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has written.
We must take ownership of the Word of God. We must declare God’s position over every situation in our lives. The phrase “to proclaim” comes from the Latin, which means to “shout forth.”
It is a strong word and is linked to another dynamic phrase or word in the New Testament… “to confess.” Confession means to say the same with our mouths what God has already said in His Word.
We are to proclaim our victory over the flesh, the mind and the devil, because we are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. God’s power
is released in the supernatural when we speak His Word over our lives. That which is released in the supernatural affects the physical, where we live.
JESUS IS THE HIGH PRIEST OF OUR CONFESSION. WHENEVER WE SAY WITH OUR MOUTHS, WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT US AS BELIEVERS IN JESUS, THEN WE HAVE RELEASED HIS AUTHORITY AND BLESSINGS OVER OUR PROCLAMATIONS.
We must learn to magnify the Lord in all things. Instead, we usually magnify the obstacles in our lives. These challenges will overwhelm and defeat us if we focus on them. Yet the Lord has already defeated the enemy and provided the solution for our problems. Imagine a magnifying glass that a child looks through to find the ant crawling across the ground. The ant looks so big it frightens the child for fear the small insect will bring him or her harm. Yet this same glass when pointed toward the sun’s rays will burn the ant to an ash.
God tells us to “fret not.” Therefore, do not focus on the obstacles. Instead, magnify the God of Promise, Who has answers for every trouble you encounter. Focus on the Author of life and Giver of every perfect gift. Praise Him and Proclaim His awesome Word. Your issues did not take God by surprise, and He has already provided a way for us to overcome life’s challenges.
You must do more than believe the Word of the living God; you must also obey it; you must proclaim it over your life and the lives of your loved ones, and you must have hope in the power of His promises. Anyone can believe; demons believe. The Word of God says that demons tremble at the mention of the name of the Lord. However, demons can’t obey, and they don’t proclaim the Word over their lives; but you can!
When you have trust in Christ who is our Blessed Hope, then you can see the invisible, you can feel the intangible and you can accomplish the impossible! Be more than a conqueror–learn to be an overcomer for the God of Israel is on your side!
Lord, I pray this day that my life will be built and formed on Your Holy Word. Let it be my daily bread that strengthens me as I meditate on it day and night. Help me never to depart from it. Give me a hunger and passion for Your Word. Help me to do what Your Word says to do; then I will know that it is You, O Lord, that makes my way prosper and I will have good success. Thank you, Lord, that Your Word will never change and be forevermore.
