Do not be afraid... I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.
Happiness Comes Through Death—Part Two
We fear what we do not understand!
Dying is how we are born into eternity. Death is the gateway to the life to come. In God’s time, we will each be forced to pass from this dimension of life into the next.
We fear it. But just on the other side of the veil, God the Father is rejoicing with the angels, because one of His precious children is coming home.
When Christopher Columbus set sail, the fearful told him that he’d fall off the edge of the planet into the abyss. Rejecting fear, Columbus set out anyway…and discovered a new world, which defied description.
Jesus Christ also explored an unknown world, the world beyond the grave. He returned from eternity to tell us, exactly and without doubt, what eternal life is like…”I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever!”
Jesus assures us that heaven is real. He said, “In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” John 14:23.
Heaven is a land of perfection, created by the architect of the ages for the family of God. It is a city “whose architect and builder is God” Hebrews 11:10. It is a city where there is “no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” Revelation 21:4.
