From Burdened to Blessed: Then and When
John Hagee
Life is full of moments that leave us burdened, broken, or bewildered. But Scripture gives us a pattern of hope: when we see Jesus rightly, then we are filled with joy. When you see Him as your healer, your provider, your friend, your Savior—then will you be glad. When your world is shaking and you fix your eyes on the One who holds it all together, peace floods your soul. He is in the miraculous and the mundane, in the blazing sunrise and in the withered tree. He is always present, always faithful, always enough.
The world saw Jesus many ways—Bethlehem’s baby, a teacher, a threat—but when you see Him for who He truly is—the Bright and Morning Star, King of Kings, Lion of Judah—everything changes. Joy replaces sorrow. Peace overtakes fear. Certainty stands in for chaos. So ask yourself today, “What do I see when I look at Jesus?” Because when you truly see Him… then you will be glad.
