Hope for the World

Hope for the World
John Hagee

America and the nations of the world are in desperate need of a message of hope. Every headline reminds us that the world is in chaos. Violence, uncertainty, and fear surround us, and the solutions of men continue to fall short. But King David gives us the answer in Psalm 42:5: “Hope in God.” My friend, hoping is not wishing. Wishing is based on emotion, but hope is based on the promises of Almighty God. Hope is the confident expectation that God's answer is coming because He has promised it in His Word. Regardless of what is happening in America or around the world, our hope must be anchored in the God who cannot fail. The answer to the darkness surrounding us is not found in the wisdom of men, but in the everlasting promises of God's Word.

God placed you on this earth for a specific purpose. He has a divine plan for your life, a future filled with hope and the potential of His blessings. The prophet Jeremiah reminds us that God's plans are for peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope. Hope produces joy that the world cannot give and the world cannot take away. Hope puts a song in your heart in the midnight hour, just as Paul and Silas praised God from their prison cell. Hope is faith reaching out in the darkness, knowing that the God we serve can never fail. Don't allow the troubles of this world to rob you of the expectation of God's goodness. Think hope. Speak hope. Live hope. We can change America one person at a time when we place our confidence in the Lord. There is an answer for America, for the world, and for your tomorrow. Hope in God!
