Pray For The President & Vice President

Welcome to 14 Days of Prayer. I'm excited to share these next 14 days with you as we experience one of the most powerful and exciting things that a child of God can do. Speak directly to the throne room of God and receive His intervention here on Earth. Jesus said, "what you bind on earth, I’ll bind in heaven. What you loose on earth, I’ll loose in heaven." Prayer is powerful. Prayer changes things. Until believers in Jesus Christ have prayed, we haven't done much to make a difference in the world we're living in.

The New Testament tells us to pray for leaders and those in authority. The Bible says that it is God who puts one up and another down. He's sovereign. Everything is within His control. And it is our responsibility here on earth to make sure that our requests and our fervent prayers are heard in heavenly places. When you read Romans the 13th Chapter, you discover there is no authority unless God gives that authority. We are instructed to pray for our leaders, no matter what party they represent.

In this nation, our leaders have been given authority. It starts at the executive branch in the office of the president and vice president. They are God's instruments in this nation. And when we pray for them, according to the promise of the Word of God, He'll intervene in their lives so that we might lead peaceful lives. In the Psalms, it says that the Lord is the one who turns the hearts of kings like streams in the desert. He can change the direction and the course of nations here on Earth according to His sovereign plan, His purpose, His will, and our prayers. He did it with Moses in Egypt. He did it with Daniel in Babylon. And He can do it today.

So today, I want you to join me in praying for our president and our vice president in the following days and weeks leading up to the election in America. Today, I'm asking that the Holy Spirit give strength to our leaders so that we here in these United States may lead peaceful and prosperous lives.

Let's Pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in accordance with Your Word that what we ask in faith believing, it will be heard in heaven. Lord, You are the One Who sits upon the throne. Your sovereign and providential plan is at work in our everyday lives. Today, we submit our will to Yours. We submit our lives afresh and anew to the King above kings and the Lord above lords.

We pray for the president and the vice president of these United States. As we approach the election, Heavenly Father, we realize that they have an administration that will continue beyond the results of this election. I pray, Lord, that You would turn their hearts toward righteousness; that You would give them understanding about what needs to be done in this nation, and the courage to do it. Lord, just as You said that Joshua would not be turned to the right or to the left, I pray they would find a path that leads us in a peaceful direction as this nation races towards Your plan, Your will, and Your desire for all things on the earth.

I pray that you would give our president a heart for Israel. I pray that You would give him a heart for the people of this nation. I pray, Heavenly Father, that truth and justice would be his guiding light and that Your hand would be upon him, so that we would be able to see and to say that God intervened and made a way where there was no way. We ask these things in Jesus’ name by faith believing that You have heard us. We receive it, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
